Privacy policy
Your inner world belongs to you.
This policy explains what My Care Hub collects, why, and the control you have. It is written to be read — not to be survived.

The short version
- We never sell your data. Not to anyone, for any price.
- Nothing in your profile is shared until you deliberately share it.
- You choose which fields are visible each time you share.
- You can export or delete your data whenever you want.
What we collect
What you put in your profile: basic info, medical profile, communication and sensory preferences, hospital toolkit notes, medications, insurance details, documents, emergency contacts, and saved items. All of it is optional. An empty section is a valid answer.
Account information needed to sign you in, such as your email address.
Basic technical and usage information — device type, app version, and error reports — used to keep the app working.
Special category data
Health information, disability information and similar details are treated as special category data under laws like the GDPR. We process it only because you have given explicit consent by choosing to enter it, and only for the purposes described here. You can withdraw that consent at any time by deleting the data or your account.
How we use it
To provide the app: storing your profile, generating your QR code and share links, sending reminders you set, and showing providers, events and groups near you.
To keep the app secure and working, and to fix errors.
We do not use your profile content to advertise to you, and we do not sell or rent it.
What sharing actually does
When you share a profile — by QR code or link — only the fields you selected are visible to whoever opens it. Sharing is an action you take, not a permanent state. You can stop sharing, and you decide each time what travels with you.
If someone opens a share link, they see the selected fields. Treat a link like you would a printed copy: give it to people you mean to give it to.
Profiles you manage for someone else
You can create or manage a profile for someone you care for, such as a child or a family member with a disability. If you do, you are responsible for having the authority to do so, and for keeping their voice central — the profile should describe them in their words wherever possible.
Where a person can express preferences about their own information, those preferences should lead. Where legal guardianship applies, the guardian is responsible for the profile.
The AI assistant
The AI assistant is coming soon and is not yet available in the app. Once it launches, this section will describe exactly how your questions are processed, whether a third-party model provider is used, and how long that data is retained — before the feature goes live, not after.
When it is available, don't rely on it for medical decisions — it will explain language, not practice medicine.
Who else sees your data
Service providers who help us run the app — such as our cloud hosting provider and error-monitoring service — under contracts that limit them to acting on our instructions. See the Data & security page for the current list.
Anyone you deliberately share a profile with.
If the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
Nobody else. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Your profile stays until you delete it or close your account. When you delete your account we remove your data within 30 days, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, correct it, export it, delete it, restrict how it's used, or object to processing. You can exercise these in the app, or by emailing us.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Profiles for children are expected to be managed by a parent, guardian or caregiver with the authority to do so. You must be 18 or older to hold an account directly; younger users must have their profile managed by an adult.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data, described further on the Data & security page. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect — not by quietly editing this page.
Exercise your rights
Email us and we'll help you access, correct, export or delete your data.
